Schloss Rattey was built from 1802 to 1806 as an old building in neoclassical style and is currently used as a castle hotel (14 rooms and suites) with restaurant, sauna and wellness.
The castle and winery is located only 2 hours from Berlin, in the north-east of Germany. It is about 20 ha of land, of which more than 4 ha are approved vineyards. Currently, different varieties of red and white wine are grown (yield about 20,000 l per year). The site consists of an English landscaped park with over 700 years old oaks and glades.
The outbuilding “old riding stables” was built around 1835 and is currently used as a festival barn with an admission to 200 people. There is also the winery with a capacity of 30,000 l (stainless steel tanks)
The winery also includes the complete agricultural technology including two vineyard tugs and a grassland tractor, mowers etc.
In the “old riding stables” there is also a farm shop for the sale of wines and other regional products and in the outbuilding “black kitchen”, a former sexton house from 1791 with historic open kitchen can hold events for up to 60 people.
