Mateu Blanc built the fortified house of Unha, also known as the Brastet Castle, in 1580.
 
At the end of the 16th century, the Catholic King Philip II ordered the construction of fortified houses at the entrances of the villages of the Aran Valley to be closer to the border with France for the defense of the invasions of the French Huguenots. One of them was the Brastet Castle. The two stone towers are strategically placed. One of them on the North side is where the main gates were located, where the invaders could access, and the second focusing down the Valley in case these invaders entered on the South face.
Without a doubt, the Castle of Brastet is a unique piece in Aran`s Valley.
 
The property, in addition to the castle with a garden area of 500 m2, consists of a large plot of land of 5000 m2 surrounded by oak trees and flowers, a fountain, an orchard and a rustic borda of 135 m2.
