Founded in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 16th century, Schloss Roseck was rebuilt several times in the following centuries and stylistically adapted to the times. The historic complex consists of a massive manor house with a kennel and courtyard, a modern castle building and adjoining brick houses.
A 1959 built by Franciscan nuns and used as a nursing home for many years, was demolished and replaced by a functional new building. In 1991, the historic castle was destroyed by a tragic fire. The Franciscan nuns of Heiligenbronn had the roof re-covered.
Under conditions of the monument protection authorities, the estate must in any case be extensively renovated and modernized. Then the total property with 3,500 m² of living space, 4,200 m² of floor space and a plot of more than 3 hectares can be used in a variety of ways.
