In a lovely village in the South West of France, this 13th century medieval chateau was reworked in the18th century and again renovated 13 years ago by an antique dealer and an architect. This property, a fortified castle was the defensive stronghold of the ancient village and is currently a bed and breakfast. The present owners have been able to keep its middle age character, restore ancient features to their former glory while making a comfortable and pleasant place to live.
The chateau has preserved many character features such as “à la Française”ceilings, its stone spiral staircase, its18th century floors, its fireplaces and its stone.
Located on a rocky promontory on the edge of the village, it enjoys impressive views and has elevated private gardens, overlooking the Aveyron countryside.
The chateau is walled and has a pool. A detached piece of land of almost 9000 m² can also be made available.
The manageable size of the chateau means that maintenance is reasonable in terms of time and money. Its three guest rooms and the gite (which can provide supplementary income) have a separate access and a lift to the floors.
TRANQUILITY, CHARM, AUTHENTICITY AND CHARACTER are the words that define it the best.
