Historic listed ISMH Chateau for sale, originally built between the 15th and 16th centuries by a member of the court of Louis XI on the site of an even older Castle dating from the end of the 14th century. Largely rebuilt during the 16th century. Over the 16th and 17th centuries several Kings and bishops stayed in this wonderful place. During the 17th century it was adapted and redesigned.
The Castle which has 1,000m2 of space, consists of two wings set around a courtyard with four towers, one at each corner. The towers had their crowns removed during the revolution to the base of the machicolations.
An enchanting dry moat encircles the property. An impressive bridge over the moats leads between the two towers that are the remnants of the ancient Châtelet and leads to a pretty arched porch into the courtyard and the main entrance.
