La Fuente Castle is a Property of National Cultural Interest (BICN) that benefits from more than 6 centuries of history, testifying to the different extensions and modifications that the castle has undergone over time. The castle is surrounded by 29 hectares of private land intended for the cultivation of rapeseed and/or wheat, including a garden with a variety of century-old trees and other ornamental plants which give a romantic and serene air to this property. If the castle has undergone many architectural modifications, by each heir over the centuries, it is worth mentioning the restoration in the second half of the 19th century in 1876, another in the 20th century in 1940 and 1986. The last renovations and improvements were made in 2014 where the roof and the heating were made.
The old 17th century farmhouse was extended in the 19th century, innovating in agricultural techniques. The end result of its architecture is the sum of historic construction and the incorporation of neo-renaissance decorative elements – some taken from other ancient constructions such as turrets with conical roofs. The large square tower has an upper gallery, a pointed roof and an adjoining chapel with a nave and a semicircular apse.
The main building, as well as the tower, are of neo-medieval character. The bearing walls are masonry. The facades are covered with a coating imitating freestone; the balconies have molded stone slabs and iron railings. The roof is Arabic tiles, with a brick and tile eaves. The tower has several neo-Gothic windows with ogee arches, arabesques and moldings.
