Knockdrin Castle, Ireland Purchased by Tech Entrepreneurs

Knockdrin Castle in County Westmeath, Ireland – a spectacular eighteenth century Gothic Revival property with significant land holding – has been purchased by fintech entrepreneurs, Noel and Valerie Moran.

Noel founded Prepaid Financial Services in London in 2007 and the couple rapidly grew the company, culminating in a 2019 sale for a reported €327m.  With the asking price of Knockdrin Castle dropping from €13.5m to around €10m at the time of the sale (the property was also available for €5m but with significantly less land), it's likely the couple will now invest further funds to upgrade the property.
