Prcice Chateau in Sedlec-Prcice is a historical monument dating back to the 12th century. Over the course of its history, the chateau had several different owners, underwent reconstructions, withstood a fire and, with difficulty, survived the devastation during nationalization. Since 1996, when it was returned to the descendants of the original owner, the chateau complex has been undergoing reconstruction and returning social life to the restored premises, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
Thanks to the large accommodation capacity (900 sqm), this is a perfect investment opportunity especially for the hotel industry. At present, the chateau is used as an accommodation facility for private celebrations, events and weddings. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, a bar and a lounge on the ground floor. There are several rooms and suites on two floors. The castle complex of 60,000 sqm includes additional 460ha of forest areas and 160ha of arable land, water areas and greenery. The maintained garden, including four ponds, is perfect for organizing social or sporting events. For example, there have been concerts, private fishing events and a chateau hunt in recent years.
The entrance hall with its ancient baroque portal opens up to the second floor, vaulted with a ceiling with a stucco-framed Baroque fresco. A chandelier dating from the end of the 19th century hangs from the ceiling. The wooden panelling of the hall comes from the same period. Walking down several steps, you can descend from the hall to the ground floor of the chateau which has a lounge, a kitchen and a bar. These rooms are among the oldest parts of the chateau. They come from several periods, as shown by the typical Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque vaults. The wooden Baroque staircase leads to the first and second residential floors. All the rooms are fully equipped, including private bathrooms.
